Welcome to Betarah Birds, We are a family owned small business based on the outskirts of Rockhampton, Queensland.
My journey started many years ago as a kid when my passion for birds, Budgerigars in fact began whilst living on the Sunshine Coast. Later moving to Gin Gin QLD where my parents bought a property which they named Betarah. There my flock grew as i started to venture more into the parrots. I then moved myself and my flock to Rockhampton after meeting my now husband, and as the years went on, so did our growing flock into what we have today.
I am also a Qualified Veterinary Nurse with over 15 years experience in general practice and have learnt a lot of my knowledge through this line of work as well as other experienced aviculturists.
With my knowledge, experience and passion I have come to grow this small business to which i can help other bird keepers give their feathered friends the best care and enrichment to aid in a happy and healthy lifestyle.
Not only do we supply products for your feathered friends, we also hand raise a variety of birds for companion pets and breed quality aviary stock for other aviculturist to also enjoy, add to or start their own flock. With over 20 years of bird keeping, breeding and hand raising experience i can assure you that quality and care is high on minds when offering our birds to future homes.
